There are nine key processes involved in the production of softwood or hardwood plywood: log storage, debarking and bucking, heating the logs, peeling them into veneers, drying the veneers, glueing the veneers together, pressing the veneers in a hot press, plywood cutting, and additional finishing processes such as sanding.

11.5 mm plywood panels

Plywood size 11.5 x 1820x910 mm consists of 8 layers:

  • This product has two outer layers made from pine trees; one layer is ~0.3 mm and the other is ~0.3 mm.
  • The standard Venner for this product is (AA/BB), but we can customize it to your request.
    6 inner layers (core) are derived from eucalyptus, acacia, and impurities, the thickness of each inner layer can be customised to your request.
  • Weight of one 9.0 mm plywood panel: ~10.0 kg
  • TLP WOOD usually packs 40HC containers, 18 bales x 100 panels/bale = 1800 pcs panels/40HC container
  • Did you know that our 9mm hardwood ply is also excellent for signage? Not only is it thick enough to prevent warping and bending, but the smooth surface makes painting a breeze.
  • Our natural pine plywood sheets are perfect for hobbies and crafts such as woodworking, model making, floristry and design. They are versatile and can be easily processed to suit your needs. Ideal for general joinery projects like shelving, boxing in, and sign making; as well as exterior joinery, temporary structures, packing cases, bins, vehicle building, benches and concrete formwork.
  • More plies (8 layers) mean better quality. Veneers that are cut thinner have less movement and Keeping a consistent moisture content throughout each ply as well as from one ply to another is easier said than done, but with this method, it’s a breeze.

9.0 mm plywood panels

Plywood size 9.0 x 1220 x 2440 mm consists of 5 layers:

  • This product has two outer layers made from birch trees; one layer is ~0.25 mm and the other is ~ .20 mm.
  • The standard Venner for this product is (D/E), but we can customize it to your request.
  • 3 inner layers (core) are derived from Eucalyptus, Fat, and Bodhi trees, the thickness of each inner layer can be customised to your request.
  • Weight of one 9.0 mm plywood panel: ~16.0 kg
  • TLP WOOD usually packs 40HC containers, 26 bales x 100 panels/bale = 2600 pcs panels/40HC container

  • This product has two outer layers made from birch trees; one layer is 2.0 mm and the other is 1.7 mm.
  • The standard Venner for this product is (D/E), but we can customize it to your request.
  • 3 inner layers (core) are derived from Eucalyptus, Fat, and Bodhi trees, the thickness of each inner layer can be customized to your request.
  • Weight of one 5.5 mm plywood panel: ~8.8 – 9.0 kg
  • TLP WOOD usually packs 40HC containers, 18 bales x 180 panels/bale = 3240 pcs panels/40HC container
  • Our 5.2 mm plywood panels and true 1/4″ have an MDF core, which means there are no voids or skips in the wood. They’re widely used for building cabinets, closets, shelves framing furniture and panel doors.
